Dear Evil Nine...
You were the guys that told us ‘You Can be Special Too’, hooking up with the likes of Aesop Rock and creating music with an authentic punk/hip-hop vibe. ‘They Live’ showed us that you could progress but still keep your musical roots.
What the Hell happened?!? Your latest EP, No Manners, sounds like something that would be included as part of a Ministry of Sound fitness DVD… and I am a really big fan of Evil Nine.
It was painful enough when Adam Freeland went electro (‘Silverlake Pills’ was a great track, but it just doesn’t compare to some of his earlier work like ‘Mindkiller’ or even the White Stripes bootleg ‘Seven Nation Freeland’) Please don’t make the same mistake.
If this is what Marine Parade are aiming for, I’m off to the pier and I’m going to jump.
Zuckerberg hacked user accounts? No...
Business Insider is running a story that Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, hacked into the Facebook accounts of 2 Harvard Crimson reporters, back when it was known as Thefacebook. I especially like the sentence below…
“Then he examined a log of failed logins to see if any of the Crimson members had ever entered an incorrect password into TheFacebook.com”
Seriously? Kevin Rose raised an interesting point on TWiT the other day. In order for him to obtain the failed logins, not only would he have had to develop the site to log *every* single thing typed into the password box, but it would also mean the data was being used in clear text. I’m not a MySQL expert in any respect, but passwords stored on a server for user info are usually encrypted with an md5 hash. This not only means passwords are secure, but someone who has direct access to the MySQL database cannot simply look at user info and see the passwords.
I smell bullshit, and plenty of it.
For weeks the lamp had been creeping closer to the sofa, ready to engulf the man with its black lampshade of doom.

How can he see he’s got flies in his eyes if he’s got flies in his eyes?
A great list of web safe fonts to use that are common between Mac and Windows. Great for standardisation.
